Education

The Beaverton School District (BSD) is the third largest school district in Oregon, serving over 38,000 students in 54 schools. The district is among the most diverse in the state with 58% of students representing the global majority; BSD families speak 110 different languages. BSD promotes a deep sense of belonging while supporting, challenging, and inspiring all students to explore their passions, achieve their goals, and graduate ready to thrive in their learning and life after high school. The district proudly features 33 Career Technical Education (CTE) programs; 12 dual language schools; and three option schools focused on arts and communication, science and engineering, and International Baccalaureate studies. BSD is supported by an active and generous community. In May 2022, voters approved a $723 million bond to build and upgrade facilities, providing state-of-the-art learning environments. And in November 2022, voters approved a $205 million local option levy that supports an additional 300 teaching positions.
