July 29, 2018 the leadership of labor, business and public education met to discuss the future of education, the state budget crisis and how together…we may craft potential ideas and come to understand one another’s lenses, beliefs and values.

We are in this together for Beaverton and Oregon as parents, sons, daughters, husbands, wives and tax payers. The premise – we all have to be a part of the solution and part of a shared compromise.

I am happy to report it was a very successful initial meeting where our one overriding goal was to meet each other and determine if we felt we could move forward with what we all know will be tougher conversations. YES! We have collectively decided there is great value in going further together. We have data points to collect and are working on our next agenda and meeting. This is an organic and fluid process that I am confident will bring our community closer, improve communication and develop a greater respect and potential for all of us.

Effective Monday, June 5th we will open our appointment times to 4pm (we will still accept walk-ins but they may have to wait longer). Come in before then to get your enrollment done and/or photo taken before we are booked with appointments.

Confirm Your Business Listing in the 2018-2019 Directory

We are working hard on the 2018-2019 Experience Beaverton Community & Visitors Guide. What this means is it’s time to make sure your company information is correct. You should have received an email inviting you to update your company information online by creating a login to edit your information. This is a new service and we may need to set you up with the ability to do edit your company information online. Below are some things to know to create your login and secure your spot in the next print directory. 12,000 copies will go out in circulation! 

• If you have not created a login to edit your company information email Michelle@beaverton.org to request a login invitation be sent to you
• If you were a partner of the Chamber in 2017 and were listed in our 2017-2018 print directory, look up your company information in that listing and email Michelle any updates necessary. You can view our online version of the directory here.
  • If you work from home, it is ok to only list the city and state of your business. We do not recommend listing your home address.
  • If you are a bigger company, it is ok to not list a contact name and leave that blank. It is ok to list the phone number to the front desk and not to a direct extension.
• For help in editing your company information, here are step-by-step instructions
