Jessica comes to us with a marketing degree and background, a love of serving people, and membership & event planning background. A native of Napa Valley, CA she has worked in vineyards (club memberships and planning events) and most recently at Hawthorne Farm Athletic Club in membership sales. She also worked as a content manager so we are looking forward to her writing skills!
This Friday, June 22nd will be Shelley Wright’s last day at the Beaverton Chamber. A bitter-sweet day for all that know her here. I have enjoyed working with Shelley for 4 years and most importantly, thank her for her support and friendship. As a small team in our office, these transitions are always tough. We work so closely and so hard, day in and out, we develop lasting bonds. We know and share intimate details of our personal lives and get support as we need it

Nick Wilks was shrimping with his family along Washington’s Hood Canal in 2007 when he got a telephone call from his friend, Billy Henry.
Henry was at his Vancouver home that morning, researching a new idea they had. They wanted to start a nonprofit to provide sports and fitness programs for blind and visually impaired people, to increase the low rates of physical activity and employment among this group. (more…)
